Lit by Guna Kanniah, on behalf of SSSIONZ family 4th December 2022
Loving Sairam dear Brothers and Sisters, It’s with a heavy heart I share this on behalf of the Organisation. His passing is sudden, at least to me, if not to all. I met Brother on Swami’s Birthday celebration on 23Nov22. He held my hand and gave me that warm smile. I was glad to see him and acknowledge him. It is sad and sudden loss, but we must accept the inevitable. To dear Sister Barbara, Brother Kevin and family kindly accept our heartfelt condolences and we pray to Swami to provide comfort and solace through this period of loss with the assurance that Brother Kay has merged at the Lotus Feet of our Lord. We all have known our dear uncle / brother for a long while. His humility, soft spoken nature and the calm and warm disposition that he exudes endears him to one and all. A quiet person who is there for almost every Sai event and function. Let us all imbibe the qualities that he had. This is the best tribute we can all give him. In that way he lives on, in us, through us. I would like to share this Poem, an ODE as his parting words of wisdom to all of us who have shared our lives with his, momentarily in this sojourn of life. When I die give what is left of me to those I knew. If you need to cry, cry for our brothers and sisters walking beside you. Put your arms around and give them what you need to give to me. I want to leave you with something, something better than words or sounds. Look for me in the people I have known and loved. And if you cannot live without me, then let me live on in your eyes, your mind and your acts of kindness. You can love me most by letting hands touch hands. LOVE DOES NOT DIE, PEOPLE DO. So, when all that is left of me is LOVE ... Give me away … as LOVE to someone who needs Love.” Whenever you give love, remember it’s me you are giving ... I live on … and on ... in you and through you ...
